The RSS feed for our Marketing Edge podcast is located at http://feeds.feedburner.com/marketingedge. If you know what to do with that information, do it and subscribe to our podcast. If you're not sure what to do, keep reading and call us if you have any questions. What is RSS? RSS (Really Simple Syndication) is a Web-based distribution format used to deliver content to people using "reader" or "aggregator" software. The most exciting use for our RSS feed is our Marketing Edge podcast, the audio extension of our Marketing Edge blog. Simply put, RSS allows you to subscribe (see "How do I subscribe?" below) to our podcast - for free, of course - and automatically download each and every new "episode" or installment of our podcast. Once an installment of the podcast is downloaded - to your computer, iPod or other MP3 audio player - you can listen whenever you want. Pause, stop, start over - you're in control. How do I use RSS? Before you can subscribe to our podcast, you'll need some podcast software. Don't worry - that's free, too. Use one a friend recommends, search on Google or Download.com for podcast software and pick one you like, or simply download Juice (http://juicereceiver.sourceforge.net) – one of the originals. If you have an iPod, you’re probably already using iTunes. That’s probably the easiest way to subscribe, download and listen to podcasts if you have an iPod. Once you’ve got your podcast software up and running, move on to “How do I subscribe?” How do I sign up? The specifics of how you'll subscribe vary slightly, depending on your podcast software, but here's what you need to know: Our feed is located at http://feeds.feedburner.com/marketingedge. Just copy and paste that path into your podcast software wherever it says something like "Add new feed" or "Subscribe." Believe it or not, that's all you have to do. Now your podcast software is ready to download our Marketing Edge podcast whenever you tell it to. Download on demand, or have the software download while your in the shower or while you sleep. If you need help... Please call us at 651-695-0174 or send an e-mail to info@providentpartners.net.
