Americans through the power of the internet and blogs like this one are learning that medical procedures and surgeries abroad are a true option and one that is far less than the ones offered in America.

The treatments are top notch with advanced technology and care.

Medical Tourism is an interesting trend in light of globalization and offshoring trends described in "The World is Flat." Nevertheless, we have yet to hear the inevitable horror stories. We can be assured that they are coming, because as with the cry for importing lower cost pharmecuticals, lower quality results are bound to follow as well -- along with bad outcomes and even deaths. This is not to say that there isn't a place for medical tourism, just that grass is never as simple, safe and inexpensive as it looks from the other side of the fence.

Great topic. Americans certainly need safe and valid choices for their healthcare. Social media puts the customers in charge and is providing immediate options as never before.
